Boston Event Works   ::   Band That Time Forgot

60's Tribute Band
Covers

... Next stop: The sixties, where the lava lamps are burning for you, man. Peace and Love! Through the haze (of patchouli incense) we can see some far-out musicians readying to perform...Roll up for the Magical Mystery Tour, a virtual trip where we will share with you the scoop on a band that makes us very happy!... Formed 20 years ago, The Band That Time Forgot...got...got plays all your favorites (and ours) from the 1960s and early '70s, complete with lava lamps and incense. Talented musicians all, members of this band are veterans of the local music scene... Tim (Stash) Jackson and Peter (Head West) Hoffman both played with Robin Lane and The Chartbusters in the 1970's (we have a couple of those autographed albums now!) Hoffman also played with Willie Nile, and as part of that band, opened for The Who on tour. Bassist Richard Gates is quite well-known and has played with an extensive list of popular musicians -- in the studio, and on tour. Veteran keyboardist/rythm guitarist/vocalist Larry (Sonny California) Luddecke officially retired from the band (gold watch and all) in the fall of 2000 to focus on Straight-Up Music, his Cambridge, Mass. based studio. Outstanding keyboardist Tom (Wild Wild) West stepped in for Sonny through 2004 -- and now -- Sonny is back with the band on keys, guitar, harmonica, vocals (and any other magic he can do up there!) Each member of The Band That Time Forgot has an impressive background, and it's apparent based on their sound of today that they've played together for many years. Very highly recommended, this is a band you really have to experience. They have quite a following, and most folks spend the entire evening on the dance floor. (Reservations are recommended!)
