Chosen for Boston Music’s Scene “Song of the Week” in June, 2007, CHIKI’s growing popularity is making her a known celebrity. Her awaited album, EclectroSonic Invasion has not been released to the public and boasts of pre-sales. She is already on the map at popular publications like Worcester Magazine and Pulse Magazine. Signing autographs for a half hour after a performance is not uncommon for her and everyone is asking, “Where did she come from?”. Growing up in the Boston area, CHIKI is very much inspired by urban culture. She comes from a musical family and began writing her own original songs when she was eight years of age. CHIKI also trained formally in dance for ten years. Growing up, CHIKI was in every talent show, play and musical available to her; usually landing one of the leading roles. At the age of 17, she wrote and directed an original full-length musical called ‘Chill On Broadway’; uniquely combining Broadway music and concepts with hip-hop music and dance. CHIKI went on to found a city-wide, youth theatre program; and was honored by the city’s Mayor with a prestigious “Youth Hall of Fame Award”. That was all just the beginning for this amazing young artist. As one of the creators of this new genre, 'EclectroSonic' tm, she fuses together Pop, Techno, Electro-Dance and Rock. A combination of
melodious hooks and catchy lyrics with eclectic music, is the best way to describe how CHIKI has designed this new generation of pop music. CHIKI's talent and hard work has earned her shows debuting with newly famed artist such as Kat Deluna and Sean Kingston.
Her growing supporters have their eyes peeled on this brilliant young star as she soars.
