HOLMES is a unique 8 piece band that serve up R&B/Funk/Soul and Blues old school style. Elements of Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, The Neville Bros are combined with solid musicianship of 8 people who collectively are no stranger to making music in front of crowds of 150 to 10,000 people. The band was Recently Nominated in Worcester Magazine''s 2008 Music Awards in the categories of Best Funk/Soul Act, Best Male Vocalist and Best Female Vocalist. The band also received Best Funk/Soul Act nomination for 2007 as well.
The members of the band have collectively shared the stage with many notable and diverse National Acts as Bonerama, Big Sam''s Funky Nation, Rebirth Brass Band, Cypress Hill, KRS-One, G. Love & Special Sauce, Los Amigos Invisibles, Jazz Mandolin Project, The Slip, Dr. Didj, The Original P-Funk Allstars, Charles Neville, Leftover Salmon and more all the while honing their chops in other bands on the local, regional and national music circuit.
